Together, we the people can make a difference. We are organizing to hold our governments and corporations (including non profits) accountable. Stand by established Environmental Law.

We are concerned with issues of over development of desert habitat, pushing cherished species into extinction and causing communities fear and stress.

Environmental.

The Joshua Tree and Desert Tortoise are on the temporary protection list. The data records an 85% habitat loss since 1996, the last big development push. There are an increased amount of fires in the desert brought on by campfires and other uneducated visitors of local issues. The desert, as well as many other California regions, has not seen steady water in decades and lack of access to water may be a serious problem very soon. The new development by corporate developers is going against environmental law and the data. Our code violations are stacking up. We have no where to go to feel protected.

Waste Disposal.

Dumping garbage on private, BLM and public land has been a long time concern. We need more focus on recycling our waste. We are running out of space for waste in the desert communities. Citizens are taking it in to their own hands to do clean ups. We demand better signage and fines for people who are dumping trash in the wild land. Our garbage problem has caused the Ravens to migrate to the desert and kill off species such as the Mojave Desert Tortoise. Our pets and animals are being pushed to hospital because of wounds from glass, bullet shells and other deadly debris.

Public Nuisance.

The increased traffic to the park and now the escalation of of new building by corporate developers has disrupted neighborhoods. Police Reports are up in communities that already had issue with code enforcement. These careless decisions are forcing the elderly to live next to Short Term Vacation rentals and endure parties and code violations without any enforcement. California is facing a housing shortage. These corporate real estate ventures are forcing citizens out of the communities they grew up in. Escalating house prices for a mortgage or rent, now impossible because of the STVR boom. Desert residents consider it a boom because it’s happened before. We will not watch as Corporate Development wipes out our Community and recources.
